Overview
CartridgeAlignment is a turntable cartridge alignment tool made by maadotaa. We built it for vinyl enthusiasts, and we believe you should be able to use it without giving up your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you use the app.
CartridgeAlignment does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, or location, and does not contain third-party advertising or ad trackers.
Photos and camera access
The app's core feature is analyzing a photo of your phono cartridge. You choose whether to take a photo with the camera or select one from your photo library. The app only accesses the camera or library when you initiate a scan.
Photos you scan are sent to a model on the server for processing and are deleted afterward. We do not keep a copy of them.
Your images and data
Photos you scan are used only to perform the alignment analysis. We do not retain any image — we never keep a copy of your photos — and we do not sell your images or any data related to you to anyone, ever.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your data to anyone.
- We never show you targeted advertising.
- We never access your camera or photo library without an explicit scan action from you.
- We never require sign-in or collect contact details.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
