🔒 Your data stays with you. DrPlant is designed with privacy at its core.

Data Collection & Processing

When you take or select a photo of a plant, the image is sent to Google's Gemini AI (via Firebase Vertex AI) solely for the purpose of identifying the plant and generating care instructions. The image is processed in real time and is not permanently stored on our servers. We do not retain, share, or sell your photos or plant data.

Data Storage

Any plant scans you choose to save are stored exclusively in your personal iCloud Drive, in a private app container. DrPlant does not have access to any other files in your iCloud Drive. Your saved data is under your control — you can delete it at any time through the app or via your iCloud settings. We do not operate any backend database to store your plant records.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store your photos on our servers.
We do not track your location or usage patterns.
We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
We do not share any data with third parties.
We do not require an account or personal information to use the app.

Subscriptions & Purchases

DrPlant offers an optional subscription to unlock unlimited plant scans. All payments are processed securely by Apple through your App Store account. We do not receive or store your payment information. Subscription management (including cancellation) is handled entirely through your Apple ID settings.

Your Rights

Since all your data lives in your iCloud Drive and we maintain no servers with your personal information, you are always in complete control. You can:

Delete individual plant records directly in the app.
Remove all app data via your iCloud settings.
Request any additional information by contacting us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

DrPlant does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or collect personal identifiers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
