Privacy Policy

The short version

Wine List exists to help you order wine with confidence — not to make money from your data. Your wine list photos are used only to run the wine analysis. Your scan history lives on your device and in your private iCloud. We never sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers. Period.

What data the app uses

• Photos you choose to analyze. When you photograph a wine list or pick an image from your library, that image is used as input for the analysis.
• Scan history. The results of your scans — including the photo you analyzed and the wine details returned — are saved on your device so you can revisit past wine lists.
• No account data. Wine List does not require an account, email address, or sign-in. We don't know who you are.

Storage and sync

Your scan history and images are stored on your device. If you use iCloud, your history syncs through your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit — data stored there is tied to your Apple ID and subject to Apple's privacy practices, not accessible by us or any third party.

What we never do

• We never sell your data, photos, or scan history to anyone.
• We never share your data with advertisers or ad networks. The app contains no third-party advertising.
• We never track you across apps or websites.
• We never see your payment details. All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store.

Purchases

Wine List offers an upgrade that unlocks unlimited scanning. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple via your App Store account; Apple provides us only with the information needed to verify your entitlement. We do not collect or store payment information.
