Privacy Policy

The short version

SafeDrive is a privacy-first app. Everything is processed locally on your device. Your speed and location are shared only with the people you explicitly invite as observers — never sold, never shared with advertisers, never used for tracking. There are no ads in SafeDrive, and we do not track you.

Data we process

SafeDrive's purpose is to share driving information with your family. To do that, the app processes:

• Precise location — so observers can see where the driver is, and so trips can be shown on the map.
• Speed and trip data — recorded while a drive is active, to power speeding alerts and trip history.
• Performance data — used to keep the app reliable and diagnose crashes.

All processing happens locally on your device. Location is never recorded unless you are actively sharing a drive.

Who receives your data

Your speed and location are transmitted only to the observers you personally invite, for the purpose of displaying your drive status in their SafeDrive app. You can remove any observer at any time, and sharing stops immediately when you stop driving.

We never sell your data, never share it with other companies or entities, and never use it for advertising. There is no advertising or third-party analytics in SafeDrive.

Location permission

Location access is required for SafeDrive's core features. You can withdraw location permission at any time in iOS Settings; SafeDrive will simply stop sharing until permission is granted again. If you choose not to share location, other app features remain available.

Subscriptions & purchases

SafeDrive subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details, and Apple's privacy practices apply to all purchases.

Data retention & deletion

Trip history is stored locally on your device and in your private sharing feed. Delete the app to remove all local data. To permanently delete your account and shared data, email us at apps@maadotaa.com and we will remove it promptly.

Children

SafeDrive is intended for use by families with proper consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 outside the family context described above.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and reflect the change within the app.
