Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 26, 2026

WalkingMonitor processes all data locally on your device. No personal data is ever collected, transmitted, stored on external servers, or shared with third parties.

Data We Access

WalkingMonitor requests permission to read the following data from Apple HealthKit:

You control these permissions. You can grant or revoke access at any time in the Apple Health app under Sharing > Apps > WalkingMonitor.

Data Storage

Step data retrieved from HealthKit is processed in memory and stored locally in a shared app group container on your device. This local cache is used solely to power the Home Screen widgets. The cache never leaves your device and is cleared when the app is deleted.

Data We Do Not Collect

WalkingMonitor does not collect, store, or transmit:

Third-Party Services

WalkingMonitor does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks. The app has no network requests — it works entirely offline.

Children's Privacy

WalkingMonitor does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Your Rights

Since WalkingMonitor does not collect or store any of your personal data, there is no data to access, correct, export, or delete. Your step data lives in Apple Health, which you control through the Health app and iCloud settings.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Because the app processes everything locally, changes to this policy will reflect only the app's behavior in future updates.
