Qard is built with a privacy-first design. All data processing is performed locally on your device. Your personal information never leaves your iPhone or iPad unless you explicitly choose to share it — and even then, we never have access to it.
Key Point: Qard does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information. Everything stays on your device, under your control.
Qard does not collect any personal information. The app operates entirely on-device. You enter your contact details — name, phone number, email, website, and address — and all of that information remains stored locally in your device's storage and is used only to generate QR codes and populate the app's interface.
If you choose to create an Apple Wallet pass for a store membership card, the membership information is sent temporarily to Apple's servers to generate the pass, as required by the Wallet system. This is a standard part of Apple Wallet functionality and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Qard does not store this data.
Since Qard does not collect your data, there is nothing to use or share. To be explicit:
All data you enter into Qard is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard
on-device storage mechanisms (UserDefaults and FileManager container
storage for app groups). The data never leaves your device.
